Rev. Dr. Ted Siverns

Rev. Dr. Ted Siverns The Rev. Dr. Ted Siverns holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Manitoba, a Bachelor of Divinity degree from Knox College, a Master of Theology degree from Toronto School of Theology and a doctoral degree from McGill University. His doctoral thesis was entitled Parable Interpretation from Julicher to Ricoeur.

Ordained in 1967, Ted Siverns has been minister at several Presbyterian churches in British Columbia and Ontario. He has been Executive Director of the Board of Congregational Life for the Presbyterian Church in Canada and has served on and often chaired many local and national committees.

Ted Siverns has taught New Testament classes at Okanagan College, Kelowna and Memorial University, St. Johns. He was also Associate Professor of Biblical Studies at the Near East School of Theology in Beirut, Lebanon, teaching both Old and New Testament classes. Dr. Siverns' connection with VST began with his involvement in the School's Knowledge Network continuing education classes, leading pastors' groups.

Ted Siverns has published many articles, reviews, poems and other works and is currently a monthly columnist in The Presbyterian Record.
