Sacrament Elder Course
St. Andrew’s Hall is looking forward to offering the Sacrament Elder course again through our Centre for Missional Leadership. This course is for Ruling Elders in congregations without an Ordained minister and will take place on Saturday, December 6, 2025. This free, online course enables Ruling Elders to apply to their Presbytery for permission to provide the Sacraments in their local congregation without a minister (Book of Forms 201.4).
How does it work?
Participants receive three video recordings to watch in advance of the live teaching time on December 5th and short quizzes at the end of each video. We then gather synchronously online on December 5th for teaching and conversation. Participants who complete the course receive a certificate from St. Andrew’s Hall, and can the apply to their local Presbytery to be recognized as a Sacrament Elder.
